About the project

The Forgotten Millions is built around one simple idea: listen first.

Millions of people feel disconnected from politics, yet their reasons are often reduced to assumptions, labels or statistics. This project exists to hear those reasons directly, in people’s own words.

Why it exists

Political disengagement is not one story.

Some people have never voted. Some once voted regularly and stopped. Others still vote reluctantly because they feel they are choosing the least-worst option rather than something they truly believe in.

The Forgotten Millions brings those experiences together to understand what has damaged trust, what makes people feel ignored and what would need to change before they felt represented again.
